The colors are a little too bright and new, but obviously that will change over time. Otherwise there's nothing not to like about this rug. For the price you won't find anything better. Looks nice on hardwood floors. If you can't afford the real thing (and who can) this is a good option.

As the other reviewers pointed out this is a thin rug. But I got an 8 x 11 rug for $100.00, it would be a bit unrealistic to expect plush and large for $100.00. It is a very attractive rug. I got what I expected and I am satisfied.

If you're looking for a very thick, soft, plush, high grade angora wool Asian (Persian style) carpet then you shouldn't really be looking at a $60 rug on Amazon. If you live in a multimillion dollar mansion with servants and butlers and maids then this isn't where you're going to find the rug you're looking for. This STYLE of rug at the size I bought (5'x8') can cost up to several thousand dollars and if that's what you think you're going to get for $60 and free shipping you're going to be grossly disappointed and probably write a horrible review of this rug.If you're looking for a very attractive rug woven from a stain and wear resistant synthetic yarn that should provide years of good service and without any pretensions of competing with it's more exotic and expensive cousins ... You'll like this rug.I needed what my sister calls a "color point" in my office. I built a new office in a detached garage on our property and the colors in the main room are all shades of white, black, and gray. The office looks very nice and I had bought another Amazon cheapie-grade green rug to go over the wall-to-wall carpet- just to add a little color. That rug turned out to be more of an olive drab than the "teal green" it was advertised as being so it didn't really add much color. I put it in another room in the building where it works better with the colors in that room and bought this one. This one is a nice, deep, rich red with cream, black and brown in it. The color is exactly what I wanted and was expecting, it looks exactly like the picture whereas the "teal" rug I bought did not. This rug is exactly what it says it is on its Amazon page, no more and no less.So I'm quite happy with it.Now, for all you "the corners curl up, it won't lay flat, it was too tightly rolled" mavens and malcontents out there-These rugs are obviously mass produced. They are not made by Pathan Tribesmen in the Hindu Kush who have thousands of years of tradition and history in rug making and sit all day smoking opium and weaving on an ancient loom their great-great-great-great grandfather built. They're machine made, rolled up as tight as they can be rolled for storage, piled up in a warehouse, subsequently loaded in a shipping container and after a voyage of who-knows-how-long they end up in America. Where they again sit tightly rolled for another period of who-knows-how-long. By the time they get to you they've been rolled tight for quite a while in a wide range of humidity and temperature environments. So when you get the rug, get out a spray bottle with a little clean water in it, unroll the rug, flip it upside down and lightly mist the backing. Don't get it wet, just moisten it. Then roll it up exactly the opposite way it came to you, starting with the tightest rolled end on the inside and the pile outside. Let it sit just a few minutes (you don't want it to dry out while rolled up) then unroll it again and put it on a flat floor pile side up. Moistening the backing fibers will relax them and now as your rug dries to ambient humidity (which will only take a few minutes and won't mar any surface the rug is laying on) it will lay flat. And it will stay flat. Thus, considering all the above; this rug is a very good value at it's price. It looks very nice, it's made of durable material and it's easy to make it behave like a rug should. If you're going to put it on a hardwood, vinyl or other smooth floor you're going to need a pad or a no-slip backing or something similar. If you're going to lay it over carpet it will work fine just as it comes. It's not a multi-thousand dollar Persian rug and it doesn't pretend to be so don't expect it to be that either.
