I was a little worried about purchasing a rug online due to color matching. However, thanks to another reviewer I was hopeful this rug would work in our room and I was not disappointed! First off the quality of the plush and pattern of the rug are comparable to those sold at large warehouse stores for triple the price of this rug (8X10). My husband wanted a traditional area rug pattern and I wanted the colors to complement the existing furniture (a mismatch of med-dark browns) and this rug fit the bill exactly. The main colors in the rug are cream, dark brown, rust, and tan. The accent colors in the rug are sage green, gray blue (barely noticeable), black, and dark red. Our room is decorated with a rusty orange color, sapphire blue, lots of browns, cream and sage green. The rug fits in beautifully! If I had the extra money and space I would buy 4 of these rugs for this awesome price so I would have years worth of replacements.

This is a very, very beautiful and plush rug, and it arrived quickly (in 2 days). The only negative I have is that it has a strong chemical smell, which I hope goes away in a few days. It's also not tan and light brown like shown in the photo - it's much, much darker. More like deep chocolate brown and cherry wood color. But I'm giving it 5 stars because frankly I'm surprised with the quality and beautiful design considering the price.I definitely recommend this to others!I'm posting an update to my original post: It's been 9 hours since I put this carpet in the living room, and the fumes are so bad I've had to open up the entire house to air it out. Mind you, it's rainy outside and about 60 degrees, but at this point I'm more willing to put up with the cold chilly weather than I am with the fumes. It's awful. I'll update again later.UPDATE: I posted my first review on Sept 25, 2012. It's now December 8, 2012 and the smell in the rug is still horrible. I've had the rug airing outside on my back patio this entire time, finally brought it in thinking the smell has surely dissipated, but it's still very, very strong. This rug is toxic, who knows what chemicals were used in making it. Ugh, so disappointed. How is it that no one else is commenting on this....?I've downgraded my rating to 1 star - I could never recommend this product to anyone.

My wife wanted a large space rug for the living room, but all the rugs we looked at various local home improvement shops that looked half way decent were $400+. This rug was better looking than any rug we looked at and much cheaper! The rug is a little darker than it appears in the picture, but that worked out great for us.
