This pad is not memory foam, but just regular rebound foam rubber with a lot of recycled material giving it a lumpy feel. It's the same stuff they use for wall to wall carpeting. I got a 9' X 12' size which is just two 6' X 9' pieces taped together. I could have bought a 6' X 45' roll of this crap locally for about the same price. We used it under a fairly thick area rug so it works kind of OK, but it's not what I wanted. I would definitely not recommend it for a thinner rug. It is not at all what I expected for something described as memory foam.

I have several area rugs and have purchased many pads over the years. The quality of this pad is excellent. I will choose this type of pad for any new rugs I purchase, and will replace all of my pads as I can with Spillguard pads.

I purchased a extra size, the manufacture notified me to bring to my attention that it would be two pieces taped together.I recommend it :)
