This rug was the second major purchase I ever made on Amazon. I purchased this for our dining room to go under a 7' long parqueted oak french country dining room table and caned/upholstered chairs. It is just perfect. We've had this rug for several months now, and the quality remains the same. Thick underfoot, and soft muted colors add to the quality and charm of the room. If you want to keep the rug in good condition, only vacumn with the brush off as indicated. Use the brush only on rare occassions, try to keep direct sunlight off the natural dyes, and realize that you will have some sloughing off of the fibers to clean from time to time. Alot of the fibers coming out depends on how rough your guests are with their shoes while seated. Also, only cut the stray threads, do not pull! This rug is much more expensive at any other site (believe me, I looked), and both my husband and I love the rug. I'd rather spend more for a quality rug like this that will last over time than constantly purchasing cheaper substitutes that never look as good.If you're looking for quality and exceptional price, this is the rug for you.Update 1-7-13 Actually have had this rug just about 1 year now - added pics to help with decision making process- hope they help. The fact that my rug shed was a little worrisome at first but it is a non-issue now and I still love the rug.

Area rug is a disappointment. Cannot stop the pilling. Doubt I would order another one from this vendor. Was considering two smaller ones, but have reconsidered.

This carpet was shedding from the day it was delivered. Small balls of wool fiber form on the top layer. Many of the wool strands pulled out just from vacuuming. Not good quality at all.
