We are expecting a baby in a few months, so I wanted to purchase a rug for our living room with hardwood floors. I wanted something that was high pile and soft, good for a baby to crawl around on. I was hesitant to choose this rug, as there were no reviews on Amazon at the time of purchase. I am glad I took the risk and ordered it anyway. This rug is great. It's a very soft, high pile, and the color is very true to what is portrayed in the listing. It did have that "carpet smell" right out of the bag, but the odor dissipated after a few days (which is to be expected). A little shedding of carpet fiber is also to be expected from a rug with a high pile such as this one. The shedding has been nothing a little vacuuming couldn't fix. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this rug, and I think it is a great price for the size and quality.My only complaint would be that the bag it was shipped in had instructions NOT to cut the plastic in order to get the rug out, but I was absolutely unable to "slide" the rug out by myself as indicated on the bag. Luckily I have no need to return the rug, because I just sliced the bag open after fighting with it for 10 minutes. (hence the 4 stars)

When we first received this rug my wife and I were thrilled with it. It was the exact color as it appeared on Amazon, super soft and comfortable and the perfect size. We have now had the rug for a few weeks and are considering tossing it in the trash. After unwrapping the rug we vacuumed it a few times to get out the normal shag dander or "fuzz" that comes with getting anything new that's shag. We ended up filling up 10 buckets in our bagless vacuum the first day but still thought that we had made a very wise purchase. The next couple of days we repeated the same steps filling 10 buckets. We have now filled well over 150 buckets of fuzz and it won't stop shedding. There is fuzz everywhere in our apartment and we cannot get control over it. It doesn't matter how many times we vacuum the rug the buckets keep filling up at the same rate with no end in site. We've made a pact to fill 10 buckets each a day until the fuzz stops coming even if it means having a rug that's almost bare. It'll be much better than having the fuzz in and on everything that we own. If you're thinking about buying this rug because of how affordable it is...please reconsider. It's the fact that it was so affordable that is making it easier to consider tossing it instead of wasting all our time and energy trying to manicure it daily.

This rug is quite lovely and a very good price for the quality. However, it has been shedding all over my house for over a month. I continually vaccuum the rug but the shedding does not end. I contacted the seller and was told the shedding would stop after a few weeks, but it is not any better. I love the look of the rug, but hate the white dust balls that are all over my house and my children. I wish I had not purchased this rug.
