Emerson is a 100-percent polypropylene machine-woven collection with styles covering all genres from contemporary to transitional as well as modern traditional. Although Emerson as priced is a tremendous value, there is a flamboyance in its color with vivid accents of tomato red, pumpkin, orange, turquoise blue, and bright acid green pop against the bold black, earthy brown, neutral gold, and ivory in the palette.

We recently had hardwood floors installed and needed a larger area rug for our living room that also serves as a "play room" for our two black labs. The size, price and color scheme of this rug were just right. As several other reviewers have noted, it is "thin" -- not as thick of a pile as the wool area rug we previously had, but that was fine with us. We're using a rug gripper / pad, which provides plenty of cushion.Based upon previous reviews, we had a good sense of what colors to expect -- beige background, crimson, teal, a butternut squash yellow and dark sage green. It does have a fall color scheme, which works well with our home. However, while the pattern IS the same as pictured, when looking at it while sitting on the couch or the floor, it looks more like a lot of polka dots scattered about rather than in the circular pattern you can see from far above -- pictured on the website. The polka dots are rather close together, and there were more than I expected. Again, it meets our needs based upon the price, size, and color scheme. It's just a bit different than I expected based upon the picture (which at least one other reviewer noted as well). I might be disappointed if my primary reason for purchasing was the pattern shown in the picture. I've tried to upload pictures, but no luck with that yet.The dogs have already tested it out with several very fast laps around the "race track" surrounding our coffee table, and it seems to hold up well to their claws and rough playing.Also, I took advantage of the free shipping offer, which estimated a delivery date approximately 1-2 weeks out, but it arrived the very next day. Granted, I live only about an hour and a half from the manufacturer, which I didn't realize when I ordered it.

The dot swirls look the same, but the rug background is a tan/light brown, so the rug looks completely different in real life. It's still fine, so I'm not going to bother returning it, but it is A LOT darker than the picture shows because of the tan background. the picture makes it look like it's cream, and it is definitely not!

Perfect for the money. Great colors. Low pile, but still pretty soft. It transformed the room. Really a great rug! Very happy customer.
