This rug was thinner than I expected, however it suits my needs. It has nice "rubber" backing, and it has a lovely pattern that is not overbearing. I use it on top of carpet, under the table. It has a tendency to move and buckle. However the one time we laid it out on laminate flooring this wasn't a problem. We currently rent, so carpet removal isn't an option. I would give it a higher rating if it was sturdier, as I believe that would also eliminate some of the buckling on carpet issue.
