This is a great accent for my home office, I love the carpet and enjoy th thinner style of the Jute. You will need a carpet skid proof pad underneath, I am very happy with this purchase.

It is going to slip on hardwood floors and will rip if you have a big dog constantly running over it. I have had this for about a year and it has had a large dog running over it all the time. So it has some areas where the braiding has separated from one another. And some of the pieces are coming out. Better for homes with less traffic going over it. I will try to sew or glue pieces together and neaten it up so I can put it outside on my screen porch. The area that has been under my table is still together so the constant traffic has definitely resulted in the tears in the rug.

I love everything about this rug! It's soft on your feet, it lays flat on its own, I don't even have a rug mat underneath. It's just a beautiful addition to my kitchen. So glad I bought it.
