These are really an awesome solution to make sure my dog doesn't slip going up and down the hardwood stairs. Looks great, works great.I haven't officially taped them down to the floor yet since I'm having painters come in and don't want them to damage the velcro once the treads are lifted. However they have tiny little rubber grips on the bottom of each tread and that is keeping them fairly nicely in place without even being taped down.I was worried about a similar product I saw by a different distributer that had really cheaply done corner seems on the backside that caused the treads to stick up - these do not have that problem.The material in the center of the tread is a little more rough that I imagined, but I've gotten used to it and think it will be worth it as the product will be very durable.

Low profile, simple design. My wooden stairs were a death trap. For me when I wear socks around the house, but mostly for my dogs. Poor things were terrified of slipping. Before getting these, Peanut would go up about 4 stairs, then go back down. Then look up at the stairs, go up a few and go back down. Then after much coaxing, she would burst up to the top hoping if she did it fast enough, her momentum would carry her the rest of the way. And I would also see Patch bust his ass on the last couple stairs when he was going to fast. NOW, they all go up and down the stairs with confidence and SAFETY! I just put the double sided tape along the length of each long side and stuck them down. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

These treads are perfect. They adhered easily and are very attractive. My dogs go up and down the wood stairs easily now. The treads are easy to clean and are a great bargain! The company shipped them quickly. I would highly recommend these if you are looking for a sisal tread.
